Coming up this weekend…

I’m excited to say we have some new treats for the Clark Fork River Market this weekend…I’ve made a couple of biscotti flavors and may make some more before Saturday. There are also tea cakes which are light, nutty little cookies tossed in powdered sugar. Have also made Scottish Shortbread and baci di dama. The folks asking for more gluten-free fare will be happy too, I hope! We will have some of our freshly ground almond meal on hand which is wonderful on everything from ice cream to oatmeal and some kamut banana bread and possibly some kamut spice bread. For those unfamiliar with kamut, it is an ancient grain which it’s thought originated in Egypt. It is a grain thought to be easier to digest for those who have difficulty with gluten as there is almost no gluten to speak of. In this way it’s a bit like spelt! My hope is that these breads will give a new taste experience to those searching for something new.
