Cold day!

Today turned out to be the first unofficial day of winter! Driving in at around 1:30am I got to experience near zero visibility and snow being blown horizontal! Happily I made it to the bakery before everything froze into black ice. The weather is such that the Clark Fork River Market has been cancelled for tomorrow which is sad for us but at the same time, I wasn’t looking forward to standing out there in single-digit temperatures for several hours! A few of us out there were joking that we’d all get matching Snuggies and bring space heaters or fire pits. I vote fire pits!
We’ve been doing a few cakes & lots of special orders – I’ll try to get some pictures posted in the next day or two. Did I mention we’ve now got hand-rolled butter croissants? We don’t feel the need to fill them just yet because that’s being done elsewhere in town and to be honest, they’re being done right! We decided plain, deliciously flaky and buttery croissants would be a lovely and simple treat. Try it with a cup of our Two Leaves and a Bud tea, Montana Tea & Spice Co. herbal blends or freshly ground and French-pressed Craven’s coffee! Today it’s Earth & Sky blend.
With market ending so soon, it’s time to remind folks that we’re open Saturday’s at 700 SW Higgins (east side of the building, facing Silvertip Casino and the duck pond!) from 9am-4pm. See you there!

  1. Did my last comment get to you? It disappeared from me. Love the logo, can’t wait to eat your scones!

    • No, I didn’t see it! Must have disappeared into the ether 🙂 Thanks so much, I’m glad you like it! I can’t wait for you to eat the scones, too! Nothing like scone-y goodness to start the day right!
