Thank you, Garden City Ballet!

We had a wonderful time at The Nutcracker with some truly stunning sets, costumes and oh those dancers! We made a few goodies for the gala event which included a selection of cupcakes and a 3 tier chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting – two of the tiers have huckleberry cream cheese filling.

As for those little brown things at the bottom of the cake, well, they’re not cinnamon sugar donut holes, they’re sugarplums! The real thing…dried fruit, crushed almonds and spice rolled in sugar…they taste like the holidays!
Here they are close up:
Sugarplums...but do they dance?
Here’s a little close-up of Clara and her Nutcracker:

There were also lovely tables of sparkling cider and our cupcakes!
